R.W. Hyde: Redefining Refit

Dick's career is a veritable history of construction management and project leadership. After studying Civil Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, Dick worked with national construction companies, such as Hunt Building Corporation and Jackson Construction Company, as a Project Manager. In addition he worked locally with Barken Construction and Walden Construction as Project Manager, and served as Construction Director and Project Manager for the Mass Bay Transportation Authority.
In depth exposure to general contracting prompted Dick's entrance into the design/build field. He was a strong voice advocating change and applying efficient construction management principles to all his projects. In 1981 in response to the number of emerging companies building in the Boston area Dick organized his own team of construction professionals and formed R.W. Hyde Construction, Inc.
Dick's foresight and consistent participation has continued to support the success of R.W. Hyde Construction. He holds current Construction Superintendent licenses for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, City of Boston, City of Cambridge, and Major Contractor license for the State of Connecticut.
Besides leading R.W. Hyde Construction, Dick is an accomplished yachtsman. His boat, Freightrain, has won numerous sailing regattas through out New England with Dick at the helm.
